So here we sit, in an auditorium, giving and receiving classes that are “mandated” to deploy. How weird that’s it’s the people NOT deploying that are receiving most of the classes. It surprises me to know that the National Guard thinks that they are better at soldiering than their active duty components. Their reasoning behind it being they only get one weekend a month and a 2week course during the year summer time to be better at what they do. Active duty components do this for a living. Ok so it doesn’t surprise me. This is seriously borderline insanity. Most people are sleeping; some fiddling with their phones and no one is paying attention. The NG (National Guard) is seriously fucked up. I shoulda taken my chances with getting recalled from the IRR.
Did you not get the MSO reduction and 24 month stability? Dude, you just got home 2 months ago. They can't send you back...

oh, i did. I have to sit in on the classes because it's my platoon giving them...when i say my i don't mean the one i'm in, oh no i mean the one i'm in charge of. i have 40 soldiers. i hate this shit

ReplyDeleteGood to see you are back posting again. Forty soldiers seems like a lot of responsibility. I guess 13 is getting a kick out of you being a "p'toon dadduh" as he puts it. Do you hate being in charge of forty soldiers or do you just hate having to be in the Guard? What is with the "tension" between Guard and active duty? Can you esplain eet Lucy? I guess after all this time you are just ready to be done with all things military, but, maybe you can actually help those in your platoon with some advice and/or training that may keep them safer while they are deployed. Hope you don't have to experience too many more power points...take care Fox3.
hey fox... theres nothing you can do about it man... the army is full of check the box type manatory classes, as you know... the reason for the tension as big D put it... everyone wants to feel and believe they are the best... its not just an active, national guard thing... its a army, marine thing, an MOS thing, a our companys better then yours thing, a our platoon is better then yours thing and a our squad is better then yours thing.... its weird but people tend to feel better about themselves if they think they superior....
